Pony & Horse Riding Lessons

Lessons can be booked privately or as part of a group. Group lessons are maximum of 4 to ensure individual attention. Private Lesson: €50.00 Group Lesson: €25.00 (pp) Junior (7-10 years) Learn the basics, walk, trot and canter and an introduction to jumping.

 

We also cover stable management and care in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Lessons are weekly and advance booking is necessary.

Now you're ready to go out and about. We focus on preparation for Pony Club activities, introduction to cross country riding over our novice fences with Minimus and hunter trialling in mind. Pony camps are offered during school holidays and are always popular with children as they learn quickly within a group, enjoy each others company and have great fun. For those interested in competitive show jumping and ready for ribbons we work towards SJI under 8, and under 10 classes teaching the skills you need for jumping against the clock. Our intermediate groups cater for students aged 10/14 , SJI Juniors aged 14/18 and SJI young riders aged 14/21. We can identify suitable competitions ,help pony/horse/rider combinations find a starting point, set goals and achieve objectives over a season. Competing at shows can be stressful but we can help with your personal show schedule, transport, stabling and accomodation. Once at the show we can provide support and assistance with course walking, warm-up and strategy - “whether riding for fun or glory let us bring out the best in you “.

Pony Camps (for children with their own pony) During school holidays we offer 3/5 day pony camps. Really popular with children as they learn quickly within a group, enjoy each others company and have great fun. The camps include: Showjumping, Cross Country, Flat Work, Pony Club Games, Hacking in local forestry and Stable management.
